2 being baptized!

This is Moises, he will be baptized on Sunday and cannot wait! His enthusiasm spread and helped his friend below.

This is Raphael, his wife was baptized last year but at that time he wasn't ready. However after a lot of prayer and some encouragement from his friend, Moises, he too will be baptized. YAY!

I am so exhausted that all I am
gonna do is ask you to pray for our group. There are many considering being baptized but unfortunately many of them will not be able to because they don't have their family's support in the decision. Please pray! love, Missy

inch long scar

hi everyone! i went to the dr. yeaterday and he unwrapped my hand. it looked pretty good, purple and blue from bruising but the incision looked pretty. i syill have to keep it wrapped up and can't use my hand until next thursday! i think because of the location of the incision he fears if i use it too soon it could come open. poor greg! he is doing everything!cooking, dishes, hair, sooomuch! the boys have been a big help too! they have been helping annie a lot by pouring juice or getting things she needs. they are all great! you don't realize how much you use your hands until you can't use one of them. ok enough of this boring stufff..you wanna hear something cool?

last night greg came back from discipling our "new leader." his name is prisilliano and he has never really accepted this position as leader but WE knew that is who God had planned to do this job. So....last night greg came home all excited and said, "He accepted!" Me:"Huh?" greg~"Pris~ said he would be the leader!"we were both very happy to now have a leader in place before we leave. his face then fell and he said i am still bummed that no one responded to our call to be baptized. (we had a baptism scheduled for this Sunday the 17th) he continued and said how he thought he had taught it clearly and how the first thing Jesus says to do after someone decides to follow Him is to be baptized. I tried to encourage him that, yes he had taught it well, and many may just not be ready at this point. i then said, ya know how they are, they are last minute people, there is still time! He kinda shrugged and walked off. No kidding....not 5 minutes had passed and knock, knock, knock. (it was 9:30 pm)One man who we had been praying for came by to tell Greg that he and maybe another guy wanted to be baptized! Heehee! God is good! Please pray more will follow! They decided to change the date to have more time to plan. The new date..............................................................................MAY 24, 2009.......................................................
yes...that is exactly one year from the day Annie had her accident. Ironic? No...that is GOD! So, Annie's accident brought them all together and we now have a church and we will be celebrating with a new believers baptism one year later! Yay God! Love you all!

So...Katie,to answer your queston, we will be having a baptism to celebrate Annie's healing after one year!

feeling better!

hi everyone, with all the extra work greg has been doing i didin't have the heart to ask him to do this too. There will be no pics although i am feeling better, i look scary! greg did my hair yesterday and it was quite the comedy act, you can imagine his voice changed a little and he got in touch with his feminine side. (i think he secretly liked the job!) Anyway, the first 2 days i was in quite a bit of pain, not tooo bad, but not fun, but today i think advil will take care of it, i slept much better. i go back to the dr. tomorrow and he will check to make sure everything looks good. i haven't seen it since i was on the table. i will write more about that experience when i can type. it was funny!!! definitely cultural! When he opened it up he said in english it's big!!!! he then told me it looked like a big fish eye. yum!!!! more later!

one huge praise is it RAINED!!!! this morning i awoke to the beautiful sound of a falling rain. all i could think about was all my friends scurrying out of bed to grab their buckets and put them outside. we are planning on surprising the women here with some water for a late mother's day present on friday i think. iwill make sure to get some pics! ok this has taken me a looooong time need to go, please keep prayin' love you all! missy

Hand surgery today

Annie has been taking care of me lately, she wraps up my hand, gives me her favorite blankets and of course takes my temperature. She is a wonderful Dr. ;o)

Annie playing doctor, can you tell she lives in Mexico?

Hi everyone, I am posting this on Sunday night in preparation for tomorrow morning. I will have surgery on my hand. It is minor surgery. I have mentioned before that I have had some wrist problems. At first I thought it was carpal tunnel, but then they explained it was more like tendonitis. However, there is a cyst that is sitting on a main nerve and it is rather large. So my Dr. has decided that it will be best if he removes this cyst. They tried to do this with laser therapy but it didn't work. So, although I hate to even ask for prayer because I am sure it will be fine, if you think about it, they will take this out at 10 am today (tomorrow) Monday
morning and I would appreciate your prayers! I will not be able to use my right hand for a week, so I am going to have Jerod or Greg do all the postings. Thanks for all your praying, without your prayers, we'd be lost!! Love, Missy

Happy Mother's Day!

My babies.

Me and my babies... from a different angle!

Annie waiting for her food.

Our favorite, homemade chips and salsa, oh how I will miss that!

This was my Mother's Day meal yesterday. It was awesome!! Of course I felt a little guilty after hearing the story below. ;o}

This is Cesilia, she was SOO happy with this present! Yesterday she told us how last Monday she wasn't sure what they were going to eat. She said she and her kids woke up hungry and they had NOTHING to eat. She said, "We knew we would have food at church that night, but we didn't know what we would do until then." She went on and told us how God provided just what they needed. She said a man came by and bought a big wooden post for about $3.50 and that allowed them to eat. She said, "God always takes care of me!"

The gifts ready to be delivered.

Me delivering gifts!

We have had a great day! Greg and the kids actually took me out to eat at my favorite restaurant yesterday. Then today we invited our friend, Cesilia over to eat with us. We had lasagna and they gobbled it up like they had never eaten. Cesilia is a widow and wasn't going to have a very happy day, so this made her sooo happy! We then delivered presents to the mothers in our church. Each mom received a bag with rice, beans, oil, a colorful spoon and a little tupperware container. They all loved the gifts and were very appreciative! I hope all of you "Mamas" out there are having a blessed day! Love to you all! Missy
