Alex still has all his organs!

Good morning everyone! Yay God! (again!) I must say this little stomach thing really confused me! First let me give you a little bit of background. Alex had some stomach pain on Wednesday night once we got back from our day trip but we live in Mexico and this is really nothing abnormal, so he went to bed. Then yesterday he woke up holding his right side and saying my stomach hurts soooo bad. I first thought it was gas and gave him something for that. I then started pushing on his stomach and asking where it hurt. He said no to almost every place except from the bottome, right side of his belly button and over. Then when you pushed on his appendix he would yelp. So, we decided that since he was in such pain, we should take him to the Dr. since we don't exactly live close. That is what we did.

First they said it was just gas. Then we left and came back about an hour later with him doubled over in pain and throwing up, and they said, maybe it was more. ;o} So, I asked to have an ultra sound because my fear was we would return to our village about 40 minutes away and lately it has been longer because of road construction and we would have problems again. So, they did the ultra sound, said he had some inflammed intestines and it would go one way or the other. They said, bring him back if he has a fever or he is throwing up more.

So of course we come back home and he starts throwing up more. (why is it that at the hospital he hit the trash can dead on and at home it went EVERYWHERE?) He fell asleep and seemed to be resting comfortably. He woke up about 11:30 pm and wanted to watch t.v. Now his father of course is snoring and I am left to watch t.v. with him. So during this time he spikes a fever of 101 and I am stuck wondering what I should do. Okay, he isn't doubled over in pain, but now he has thrown up and has had a fever. So....... he went to sleep after we watched Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, and Fresh Prince. That will definitely take you back to some weird memories! Anyway, he slept through the night and this morning he feels much better. So....... I guess it was a stomach infection and I have no idea why it was only his right side that hurt unless it was to just make me go a little crazy!

All of that to say, thank you so much for your prayers! I especially want to thank DeeDee for her prayers when little Clay is needing every prayer she has! If you read this today, please pray for Clay. He will be having surgery on his left hand (a very important fishing hand, I might add) today at 1:00pm Texas time. So, please pray all goes well and that he recovers from his accident quickly! http://www.claydavidfite.blogspot.com/ Love to all of you!
