Kindergarten Graduations

This week has been the week of graduations. Annie was asked to accompany 2 little men in their Kindergarten graduation. `It is a big deal and she was very excited to get all dressed up and play princess. We also visited an old pyramid that was constructed hundreds of years ago by the Purepecha people. It was really neat to see and had a beautiful view. Hope you like the pictures.

My precious little angel!

She accompanied this little guy at his Kindergarten graduation.

His sisters and her brothers, too sweet.

special dances done at the ceremony

She wasn't too happy about being there.

She ended up crying and running off the floor, poor girl.

Alex loves Saraita.

Saraita, LOVES Alex!

Rachael loves all kids!

When it was all over, every mom wanted their son to have their picture taken with Annie. Too funny.

"Look at the gringa, she's gonna take your picture!"

Eating after the graduation was over.
Second little man.

Greg and Jerod walking down the street after graduation. They look exactly alike when they walk.

Cool scene in the village.

Annie climbing a tree. From princess to tomboy.

Scene from the pyramids.

They weren't in the best shape but they were repairing them.
We had a great day visiting them.

Through Rachael's eyes

Hi everyone! I thought I would let you know a little bit about our past week. It has been so fun having Rachael here. It is fun seeing our world through her eyes. You definitely see things differently. I found out very quickly that she LOVES doing laundry! Heehee, if you only knew how evil I sound when I say that! She has a very willing heart and would do anything to please me even laundry! ;o)

Rachael is having a hard time accepting certain facts.
One- people live very poorly.
Two- not all of them are indigenous.
Three-it is good to make your bed everyday! ;o) Poor girl thought she was coming to help the people here!
Four- there is no dishwasher to wash your dishes
Five- the mail takes AT LEAST  3 weeks to get to the USA from here. She said, "But I don't understand why it would take longer for a piece of mail to get there than it would for a person." So if you are thinking you should receive mail from her while she is here, you might, but it will get there after she is home! ;o)
NUMBER SIX---That vegetables are good for you! ;o) I will make her like them if it kills me!

This is Chata. I have shared about her before. She is my maid's daughter who is 15. She became a believer a few months ago and has a strong desire to know more about God. We have been using the Jesus film to help her understand more about Jesus' life and what He did for us.
This week Annie will be escorting 2 young Kindergarten graduates. That is how they do it here. The Kindergarteners are escorted by a sweet little girl of boy when the go to get their certificates. The escort is always dressed to the nine. So we went dress shopping and had fun doing so. This wasn't the dress we chose, but it was fun picking one out. I will take pictures this week when she is all dolled up!

Rachael is not what I would call an adventurous eater. ;o) Today when she Skyped her home church she said I made her try a "STRANGE GROSS VEGETABLE" It was a green pepper. ;o) I had to laugh! So when we made homemade pizza she was a happy camper and gobbled it up!
These are some of the pics from 2 weeks ago. We went to a different type of zoo and I thought this was a really cool picture.

This was the group of high schoolers Jerod and Rachael were at camp with last week.
We went to see the World's smallest volcano and got to go down into it. I must say, it was pretty neat.

I love this picture. The fruit was delicious. Peaches, strawberries, blackberries, and a different fruit called mamonchinos. Of course Racheal doesn't like those fruits! ;o)

But... she loves the Coke here!

She could actually be part of our family!

We all laughed at this "billboard." It was an advertisement for Father's Day. It was at a stoplight, these two people walked out stood there for the duration of the traffic light and then walked off when it turned green. You gotta love Mexico!

This was at a church anniversary. The kids were having a blast learning new songs.

Rachael had fun making lot of new friends!

This was lunch. It was yummy. I asked Rachael if she liked it and she said, "Yeah, that was good chicken!" Ha! I said, "Just keep thinking everything you eat is chicken and you will be just fine!"

This is Rachael's chicken.

These were some of the pretty girls that were at the anniversary.

This little precious was dedicated at the anniversary.
Walking to Bible study.

Just precious.

That is about it for now. I will try and update again soon! Please pray for us, we have an extremely busy week and I am tired just thinking about it! Love to you all! Missy
