Sooo blessed!

Ever had lots of prayer needs in one week all turn out fabulous? Well... that is how my week has gone. I was praying for one little boy who was going for his cancer check. It has been 4 years now since he had cancer and each year it is one step closer to him being "cancer free." I was tickled pink when his results all turned out great! I was also praying for my friend, Pam who was going for test results and they also turned out good. I was praying for my mom who was having lots of pain in her neck and her results too, turned out good. I was praying that some shoes that had been sent by a church would arrive here before we left on vacation and those all showed up today as well! I am telling you that God has truly answered all of my prayers this week.

We had an awesome weekend as we partnered with a church here in Mexico to do a VBS in a small village. It was really neat to see this church collect 100's of shoes to give out to kids. We saw so many who really needed new shoes and were blessed not only by their new shoes, but by the story from the Bible they heard, the worship songs they sang and the games they played. It was an awesome way to spend a Saturday!

Thanks for following us on our journey!

Thank you so much to Eastway B Church for these shoes. They will bless many feet!

100's of shoes were sent by a church here in Mexico to bless children in a nearby village.

Singing.

Waiting for his new shoes.

Doing hand motions to a song, so cute.

Sharing a Bible story.

Admiring their new shoes.

Thank You!

I created a slideshow for you all to see some highlights of the year. We want to thank many of you for your support to our ministry.

What has happened to me?

A whole month? I haven't updated this in a whole month. That seems kinda crazy to me since I feel like I just did it and I am always running myself ragged trying to get everything done. Homeschool has definitely been challenging this year but ever so rewarding as well. Annie loves to learn and internet has made that so much more interesting. The boys like their curriculum and seem to learn new things all the time and put me to shame with what they know and I do NOT know. ;o) Oh well.

I will do my best to update you just a few sentences. In November we had a pastor's retreat (with the indigenous pastors) where we met for 2 days at a nearby hotel to pray and worship and just share each other's burdens with each other. It was nice to see all of the different pastors from many different villages get together and fellowship. We then went to Puebla, Mexico for a prayer retreat with other M's and enjoyed lots of time of prayer and had time to encourage one another in English! We also shared our wonderful Thanksgiving week together and had some much needed spiritual renewal. Then we celebrated Annie's 9th birthday. I can't believe my baby is 9. It was a great month!

We are now trying to get lots done before we leave for vacation in the US, to spend Christmas with our families. We are beyond excited and would covet your prayers as we travel. We also covet your prayers for our health while we are there b/c no one likes to be sick on vacation! Thank you so much for all of your support. We especially thank you for your sacrificial giving to the LM offering during the month of December. That one time offering is the main source of our income and we truly do appreciate all who give.

I will do my best to update more often. We are keeping busy with 5 different Bible studies and church. We are also trying to distribute shoes to many before we leave as the cold has come and many are in need.

These are not in any order, but hope you will enjoy them.

One church we work with that was at the pastor's retreat.

Over Thanksgiving, the team that came to care for our children from First B Greenville, in Tennessee, brought Christmas with them. They blessed each family with a suitcase filled with things we miss from the US.

Our Christmas gifts waiting to be opened.

My kiddos were super happy!

Some of the team from Tennessee. We LOVED them!

Our Thanksgiving meal, it was delish!

Two of the team members teaching us some "moves" to a song. I think they just liked shaking their tale! ;o) We had a blast with them.

As you can see, they played lots of pranks and they had lots played on them as well. It was a lot of fun! Smelly, but fun! That fish actually made it into one of their backpacks going home! You don't want to mess with Me!! ;o) We did tell him before he headed to the airport so he wouldn't get into trouble, but by then he was safe and secure on the other side of security and couldn't get me!

This was Annie's cake.

She was thrilled with her two adopted American Girl dolls. They were sent to her by 2 friends in the US. She is one blessed little girl! She knows it too!

THis is one of the little ones whom we have been able to bless with shoes. I could have squeezed him to pieces.

This precious woman was blessed by her new pair that I think were made for her crippled feet. She was so happy with them!

This entire family got new shoes. They are one sad family, please pray for them. They have it tough.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are being blessed by our Savior! Love you all! Missy

October Fun!

Hi friends! This month, I celebrated my 42nd Birthday! Annie made me a cake and all the boys made me a steak and potato dinner! It was a great day!

It was delish!

We also celebrated this little one's 2nd Birthday. Her name is Elisabet and she is precious!

This is a doll that my mother-in-law gave Annie years ago. She was loved by Annie for many years and then Annie wanted this little girl to have some dolls, so she gave her to Elisabet. I saw this during the party and thought, this doll is very loved. She is in the dirt, but here, everything ends up in the dirt at some point.

This is the party scene.

Juana has a tough life. 3 kids under 5 and no daddy around to help her with anything. They have no water and no job. Please pray for her.

Our shoe ministry continues to bless people in so many ways. Thank you to all of you who are supporting us with this! We are able to get into homes we were never invited into before!

We started a clothing ministry a while back and we have been giving clothes out along with the shoes and it has been awesome!

Greg said, " Who loves their shoes?" This family lives in front of a "B" church and have never allowed their children to come to any events before. The love we were able to show them will not soon be forgotten! They were allowed to go to a movie night at the church the week after.

Halloween is getting bigger here, but is a lot darker here than in the US. We decided to offer the kids a fun little "kids celebration" at our home. They loved it!

Greg told the story of how we are like pumpkins.
Someone asked what it was like to be a Christian. They replied, "It's like being a pumpkin:
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off you may have gotten from the other pumpkins." Then he cuts the top off and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

These kids had never seen the inside of a pumpkin. They loved getting all of the yucky stuff out!

Jerod's costume, Jerod with facial hair. ;o)

We had so much fun playing games from Minute to Win It!

Alex was Toby Mac.

We had 28 people there and it was super fun!

Then all the kids went trick or treating in my house.

Lots of fun! Next year, we plan on doing this on a larger scale! Love to all of you!
