Happy New Year!

Hi friends! I have been out of the loop for awhile. I kinda took a 3 week vacation from the computer. I was on facebook a little, but I decided that when I left Mexico to visit family, that is what I wanted to do. So, I just forgot all about this cute little thing called a blog.

Now to update you all. We had an amazing time in the US and enjoyed every single day. I will be honest with you all. I lack in my walk with God in many areas. There are days I don't even open my Bible. I am working on that and have vowed to do better this year. However, there is one thing I do well; I love to pray. I pray all the time and truly enjoy it! So, before we left for the US I asked God if He would bless me with a few things. (Knowing very well He could say, "No.") I asked for all of us to stay healthy during our trip, so that we could enjoy every single day. I asked for our time to go by slowly so we could savor each and every precious moment. Then I pulled a biggie, I asked if He could bless us with snow to play in while there, but that it wouldn't mess up our travel plans. You know the saying, "It doesn't hurt to ask." So, I figured why not, He has always been good to me and ALWAYS made me fully aware that He does indeed listen to my prayers no matter how trivial they may seem.

ANSWERS:

1. Everyone stayed healthy
2. Our trip did go by slowly and it seemed like we were there a lot longer than we were. We truly enjoyed every single moment!

NOW...
3. Our flight to Indiana was for the 27th of December. A huge snow storm came blowing through and dumped about 5-6 inches of snow on Indiana on the 26th. It stopped in time for our flight to be on time and we had no delay at all. We arrived in IN and were greeted by the beauty of snow. The next day it began to snow again. So not only did we have a lot when we got there, we got to see it falling and even took a walk at 10:00pm in the snow! It was glorious! The snow stayed on the ground the entire 11 days we were there! It was truly a God given gift. This not only showed me that He cares about trivial things, but that He finds joy in blessing us when we ask for things that He is able to bless us with. I was so very touched by the way He chose to bless us each day that I am only now beginning to process them all. I pray, (like right now I am stopping to do this) that each and everyone of you are blessed in as many ways as possible this year. However, more than anything else, I pray you grow in your walk with Him!

Love you all! Missy
