Another GREAT Monday night!

Another Monday night behind us! Well, tonight was a really good night! We were excited after last Monday night's turnout and yet we knew it was something new and maybe this week would be the true test. There were 3 women who did not come that came last week, but they all had good excuses and said they would come again next week. Then there were 3 new women that came, one of which heard through the grapevine about our meeting. So, total we had 23 people this week. (we were also missing 4 kids that came with the 3 women last week) We thought it went great! All the people who came really liked it and they all stayed and talked for about an hour after we were through with our study. They were all talking and laughing and generally having a truly good time! I have tried several times to add pictures and it just isn't working. I will try again later. I love SLOW internet! It always gives me something to do. Anyway, thank you to all of you who were praying, we really can feel it!

I am still trying to make the blog a little more fun. The poll will give me some idea what you think would be fun information to know. One of the questions was cut off and it wouldn't let me correct it. So the 3rd one should say, " What do you think is the hardest thing about living in Mexico?" If you have some suggestions for the next poll, please let me know what they are! Love you all!

  1. So glad that your meeting went well. Praising God for the new people that came! Hey, you could just answer all of the poll questions. There was a debate here as to which question to choose. Shelby and Drew want to know what you miss--besides family and friends.

  4. What about these questions...
Do most of the Purepechas speak Spanish in addition to their native language?
Is it a written language, or only oral?
How is the way you're learning Purepecha different from the way you learned Spanish?
Is it easier for your children to learn the Purepecha language than it is for you as adults?
Can your children converse in either Spanish or the Purepecha language?

Call Mama and she can give ours to you and you can give her yours as well. I don't want to put it on here for various reasons. Thanks! Missy
