The OH so HAPPY couple! They already have a child who is about 9 months old. The bride is 17 years old and the groom is 19.

On Saturday we attended a wedding with one of our friends. Her neice was getting married and she wanted us to join her for some of the festivities. I thought I would share some photos with you. Hope you like them. Not your typical wedding reception, huh?

ReplyDeleteHey, Missy. Is it typical in your village to have the traditional white dress? In ours it's just a really special Purepecha traje. I only know of one in our villages who married in the traditional dress. Just curious!
ReplyDeleteNo it is NOT typical. Actually this girl just really wanted it and her aunt, my friend made it for her. They made it for the bargain price of about $20, labor and all! There are a few every now and then that use the traditional dress, but not many. I think it is just our American culture coming through once again!! Thanks for asking, I forgot to mention that!
