I know, I know, I know....

I know I haven't been on here for more than a week and I am really sorry. I am really trying to find time to post on here and to make it interesting, it just isn't happening! I miss all of you and my life is so crazy. Once we got back from camp we had a wonderful visit from some friends from our home church and that was a huge blessing! Then we welcomed my mother-in-law from Indiana for her first visit to Wake Forest. We had a great time with her and the kids were able to have some quality "Grandma" time. We loved it!

Greg has settled into a routine of going to class and reading, reading, reading. We haven't started home school yet, I am sure I am hearing many of you saying, "WHAT?" Well, we chose to use Annie's school's schedule and she doesn't start until the day after Labor Day. So, that is when we will start. Annie is so excited about starting Kindergarten! There are only 5 kids in the class and 3 of them are boys. It should be a very exciting year!! ;o) The boys and I are looking forward to home school this year. It should be nice having a lot of extra resources at our fingertips!

We continue to keep in touch with our friends in San Lorenzo. So far everything seems to be going well. Cesilia and her daughters (Don't know if you remember them?) haven't attended church since we left. This isn't surprising to us, but it is heart breaking. Please pray for them. I am definitely feeling less homesick and enjoying living in the US a little more. I love this time of year and the weather has been fantastic!!

I wish I could see each one of you and give you all hugs! I have been heavy hearted for a few people. Please pray for this precious woman named Lindsay. She lost her four month old baby last week. He just died in his sleep. She needs your prayers. You can click here http://thejonesfamily52009.blogspot.com/ to read her blog. It is sad and so heart breaking. I don't know her personally but I know she needs your prayers. Another lady in need of your prayers is Patrice. She has this precious little gift from God named Jonah. You just have to go to her website and meet him yourself. Anyway, these are some of the people I have met via Internet that need you! www.patriceandmattwilliams.blogspot.com
Then there is a little girl named Marnie. She is 4 and has been diagnosed with stage IV Anaplastic Wilm's Tumor, which is a rare form of childhood cancer. She and her parents are in serious need of prayer. I don't know her website address yet, but when I do, I will let you know. Please pray. So, I just felt compelled to ask all of you to pray for these prayer requests as these are some hurting people and you are some praying ones! Love to you all!! Missy

  2. Missy,
Thanks for the update. Do you know how to get in touch with Marnie? We know (well actually his parents are close friend with Shelby's best friend in Charlotte) a little boy that over a year ago was diagnoised with Wilms. They have a care page I can pass along. If it's the same type, I'm sure his family could be of encouragement. They are in Charlotte. His family started a not-for profit to aide in research for childhood cancer. Here is a linkhttp://chompchildhoodcancer.org/
The contact through the above link is not working for me but they do have a carebridge site just use his name with no spaces.

  3. Hey Tracie, Small world!! I went to school with Mike Tanksley who is Adam's father. That is who you are talking about, I am sure. I have his info and I have passed it along and we are going to see if we can put them in touch. Thanks so much for the info!! Love you! Missy

  4. Thank you for your prayers and for asking others to pray for my husband and I as we endure this difficult time. We miss our precious Ayden more than words can express. Each day is a struggle. However, we believe God's will is perfect, and although we don't understand and our hearts suffer daily - we know we are promised to see our son again.

    Thank you again. God bless.
    Lindsay
