Pray for our friends today

Hi friends! Pictures are coming of our first Halloween in the states! It was so fun and Annie thought it was really cool that people just gave you candy just because you asked! She also thought it was cool that it was OK to ask! We must confuse our kids so much telling them it is rude to ask people for candy and telling them not to talk to strangers and then having one day when that is all we do! :o}

  1. Dear Missy,
    This is very interesting. The Catholics celebrate this day as "All Souls Day". Carl is Catholic and I am Baptist but we both celebrate this day. Maybe a little different than your Mexican friends, but very similar but without the food! Carl and I went to our Catholic Church this morning to celebrate the lives and entry into heaven for all of our faithfully departed, especially for his Mother who died 11 years ago, today. It was a beautiful service and there were many people there. I also lit a candle for Mother and Daddy. I feel there is nothing Anti Christ about this day. We celebrate this day for our departed, the way we celebrate the Birthdays for our loved ones who are still alive. I am looking forward to seeing the halloween pictures. It sounds like everyone had fun. Take care, and best wishes to you all.

    Robin
