Baths are getting a little better

Today was a better day and there were a lot of tears. Annie had her bath at the hospital and cried her way through it. We were blessed by the nurse who did the cleaning super fast and it was over. When it was over Annie looked up at me and said, " I love you Mommy." At this point I was glad I wasn't the "meanie" today. She then heard a baby screaming in pain and said, " Mommy we need to pray for that baby because she is hurting bad." These burns may have hurt her skin, but her heart is exactly the same! Praise God! Greg and I did much better with the cleanings today and are determined to learn how to do this quickly. We were so encouraged because the Dr. said she was healing well. We were a little discouraged because he said what we thought were 2nd degree burns were actually 3rd degree burns. They will continue to watch these areas and see if she will need surgery. We are praying hard that she will heal without surgery. Annie is struggling with a lot of anxiety. She is scared to death of anything hot, scared to go potty, and scared of small insects. All of this is new to us. Please continue to pray for energy for all of us as we are literally exhausted and pray that Annie can learn to reuse her right hand and begin walking on her own. We read every post and continue to be blessed by each of you! Thank you so much!!

  3. Annie, Greg, Missy, Jerod and Alex,
How we wish we could bear the pain for Annie and you. We will pray for God to take away her fears. I believe in time He will. Sounds as though things are going well as could be expected at this time. We pray surgery will not be needed.
Our Love to all of you,
    Ted and Carol

  5. Greg and Missy,
There's not a day that goes by that you are not in our prayers. We pray for rapid recovery; that surgery will not be needed; that baths will be quicker and easier; that the tears will be less (for Annie and you guys); and that daily God will send you more and more encouraging news. We love you guys. If there's anything we can do from Ecuador (with help from our church in Houston) just let us know. By the way, Christian said that Annie was very pretty in the pictures. He's becoming a real ladies' man for a 4 year old!:)

Was so thankful to read that the bath went better today. I know her saying I love you Mommy, just about melted your heart. We are praying that those areas they are concerned about will heal without surgery. I know you have to be worn out, but we will coninue to pray that the Lord will give you the strength that you need daily.
    We love you.

  8. Please know that many times throughout every day since I first read of Annie's accident, I have prayed for each of you - for Annie's pain to be minimal & for her healing to be miraculously fast and perfect, for her brothers to understand how important their patience, love and presence will be to Annie throughout her recovery, and for mom and dad to have God's unfailing strength during the coming weeks and months. Annie, the picture of you as you are on the airplane reminds me so much of my youngest grand-daughter. You are such a beautiful little girl and I am sure that Jesus is watching over you every minute of every day and night - He loves you so much and He will help you get all better. Famly, you all will continue to be the first on my prayer list until I read that you are all healed.

  9. Little Annie,

I am praying for you every day. I am so sorry that you are going through this. I know how scary it is for you. When I was little like you I had a very big sore on my arm too and I had to stay in the hospital and the nurses and doctors had to take care of me too. You are so brave to take your baths and walk across the floor. I am so glad that your mommy and daddy write about you every day. I read about how you are doing and my children, Brayden and Bryn, pray for you all of the time. A big hug for you Annie.

    Love, Trina Aysta

Please tell your big brothers that the boys say hello and they can't wait to whoop up on them on the Wii in September! Emily can't wait to play with you and you can see our kitty that we are bringing home from China! Her name is Molly.
We love you guys and pray for you every day!!

We are so proud of how you are working hard and letting the doctors and nurses help you. remember that the doctors and nurses are God's special helpers that He is using to help take care of you. 12. Dear Ones,

Ever since our son, Howard, in Argentina, sent us word about Annie our thoughts and prayers have been with you. God is an awesome God, and we have seen HIM do many awesome things, so trusting this to be with case with little Annie. We pray that you, as her parents, will experience God's peace and HIS strength as you walk through this difficult time. Many prayers are being offered here in North Carolina for each of you. Thanks for the blog so we can keep up to date and know best how to pray.

    In HIS LOVE,

    Jean and Roger Hicks

  13. Thank you for creating this site to allow us to pray for Annie & your family.

We are friends of Holly Mulhollen. Holly was the Maid of Honor in our wedding 11 years ago.

We will pray for strength for your family and for mercy for Annie. Having a son with severe medical issues, we know what it is like to see your child in pain. May God give you unmeasurable grace.

  14. Hi Woods Family....

Thanks for the address at the hospital. It is a wonderful thing to be able to send a note to Annie. Our prayers are still with you and especially for Annie's pain, healing and even her fears. Tell her that we think she is such a brave young lady.

Thanks again for updates. I know you are busy taking care of Annie but it means so much to know how she is doing.

    Much Love- Teresa Prinzo
