Peaceful afternoon for Annie

Hi to all,

Thanks again for your posts and we wish we could respond to all of them. They have been very encouraging. Annie had a good nap this afternoon and we were able to keep her in the house resting from 11:30 this morning on. We had a staff member, Jay Alvaro, from our home church, BBC, arrive today to help as well. We don't have much new news and are looking forward to a good night rest.

Annie has physical therapy at 11:00 tomorrow morning so please pray as she still continues to be nervous walking due to her leg burns. We do have a few new pictures up on the blog and we thank you again for your prayers and we will update tomorrow. Good night.

  1. Good Morning. The Lord woke me up at 5:01 and told me to pray for Annie, so I obeyed (I am special). I hope you all had a good nights rest, and today's therapy *etc" will go better. Isn't it great that we can know he cares about everything in our life, big or small. Thank you God for sending Jay to help!!! I pray today will be a testimony of his love and peace in your lives, and tonight, you can all rest in the arms of Jesus. HE IS ABLE!

Now that I hAVE obeyed, I hope I can go back to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    We love you so much,

Jerod and Alex, thanks for being so good to help Mommy and Daddy with Annie, You are very special boys.

    In His Love,
    Aunt Char and Uncle Frank

  2. We are so glad to hear all the great things that God has been doing for y'all. Seeing His Mighty Hand at work is sometimes more than we can bear. His outpouring of love is so overwhelming. The fact that you can find peace and rest is evidence of His presence. We wish that we could be there to help but for the time being we are praying for you. The girls ask about Annie and were so excited to see her walking and that she was out of the hospital. My 5 YO said that God was helping her the way that He helped her mommy get out of the hospital. May you continue to find rest in God and His peace. It is hard, trust me, I know but it is a choice. God wants to give it to us and we need to accept it. Y'all are such special people. You inspire me! I would be a basket case.

  3. Hi Woods family,
What an awesome God we serve. I have been blessed and can only imagine how many other people have been blessed by the challenge you have faced--God's hand has been in all the details. We will continue to pray for God's healing hands to hold Annie. So glad the Franz duo is their for comic relief--watch out for those two--can only imagine!!

  4. Dear Annie,
I will be praying for you this morning at therapy. I know it is hard to walk, but you can do it. Jesus will help you be brave and strong. The "meanies" are not really mean people. They are trying to help you get well.
    I love you,
    Aunt Nancy Chafin

  6. Annie,
We're glad you got some rest yesterday. We will pray for your therapy session today. We will ask Jesus to help you walk and for the pain to get better. Pretty soon you will be running around playing with all of your friends again. We really like your new pictures you added to your blog. Your "makeover" looks like it was a lot of fun!!!! Faith and Meggie LOVE to put on makeup and "do makeovers". We look forward to seeing you again soon.

    We love you!

  12. Hi guys,
So good to hear that Annie is doing better. I was really glad to see that everyone got to go on the jet to Texas together; I was afraid that they would say choose one parent.
We have been praying for her and will continue to do so; also my mom said she had asked for prayer at our church in Oklahoma. You guys are famous! :)

    Love,
    Lori Torrison (and Steve)

  14. Dear Missy and Family

So sorry about what happened to Annie. I am so glad that she is doing better than originally predicted. You can be assured that our thoughts and prayers will be with you. I know Annie will get along fine because of who her parents are. Thanks for keeping us posted at such a difficult time.

    Love Katy and Bud
