Sharing with our friends
Okay, I am about to share the plan of salvation with our 2 friends. (Rosa and Lupita) It is 4:25pm EST, I would like to ask any of you that check this during the next hour, to pray. I don't know how they will respond, but we have been dancing around this conversation for long enough and it is time to share. They are both precious to us and we are hoping that they will understand everything and willingly accept Jesus (NO ONE else) as their Savior! I will let you know how it goes in a few hours! Thank you!

Another GREAT Monday night!
Another Monday night behind us! Well, tonight was a really good night! We were excited after last Monday night's turnout and yet we knew it was something new and maybe this week would be the true test. There were 3 women who did not come that came last week, but they all had good excuses and said they would come again next week. Then there were 3 new women that came, one of which heard through the grapevine about our meeting. So, total we had 23 people this week. (we were also missing 4 kids that came with the 3 women last week) We thought it went great! All the people who came really liked it and they all stayed and talked for about an hour after we were through with our study. They were all talking and laughing and generally having a truly good time! I have tried several times to add pictures and it just isn't working. I will try again later. I love SLOW internet! It always gives me something to do. Anyway, thank you to all of you who were praying, we really can feel it!
I am still trying to make the blog a little more fun. The poll will give me some idea what you think would be fun information to know. One of the questions was cut off and it wouldn't let me correct it. So the 3rd one should say, " What do you think is the hardest thing about living in Mexico?" If you have some suggestions for the next poll, please let me know what they are! Love you all!

Picture of the Rainbows
I have been trying to add the picture of the rainbows and have had no luck. I will try again tomorrow. It really is pretty!

Good day for us, tough day for our friends
Today was a good day. I was mad at myself because I didn't have my camera to capture some special things. We went to a church in a village that is about 40 minutes away and had a great time with other Baptists. It is funny because after we went to the Mexican Baptist Convention, many of you emailed and said how surprised you were that there were Baptists here in Mexico. Well, there aren't a ton, but there are a good many. If I were to compare it to something, I would say that there are as many Baptist churches here as there would be Catholic churches in North Carolina. There are some, but it just isn't something you see on every corner. Anyway, the boys fit right in as they played marbles, (their favorite game to play right now) and Annie actually played with all of the kids. She then got up in front of the church ( about 25 people) and told what her picture that she colored was about. That was a big step for her since she has run from attention lately. So, church was a success today!
Today was a tough day for some friends of ours. Jeff and Angela Adkins were friends of ours in Asheville. Last week their little 9 year old daughter, Claire, passed away suddenly from a freak accident. Her funeral was today. Please pray for Jeff and Angela and their 3 other daughters as the coming weeks/months are sure to be hard. My friend Melanie from Asheville also, is also suffering along with her family as her father passed away yesterday from a long battle with cancer. Please pray for them as they make all of the funeral arrangements this week. There have been so many things to pray about lately that I have found my heart to be truly heavy. I wake up many times during the night and all I can do is pray for the many who are hurting. I feel that is the least I can do. So many of you prayed for us during our time of need and I just want to somehow repay you all! I had just prayed for the families mentioned above when Greg yelled, "Hey everyone, come quick, you gotta see this!" So we all ran to the window and saw these 2 rainbows, one that was the brightest we had ever seen. It was just a little reminder that God is still on the throne, still in control and I thought it was nice that there were 2, one for Claire, and one for Roger.

Sometimes all we need to feel like we are home in the States is a little McDonalds! We go into the nearest town one time a week to buy groceries and eat at a restaurant. Every week we rotate who gets to choose where we eat. Today it was Annie's choice and as is true every 5 weeks, we ate at McDonalds. They have someone in the kiddie area who does face painting and Annie loved it! She wanted to be a kitty cat. Doesn't she look like the cutest kitty cat you have ever seen? I think one thing that has changed since Annie's accident is that my 3 children seem to get along 100 times better than they ever did before! I PRAISE God for that!
Under Construction!
Hi everyone!
I am trying my best to change the look of our page to make it more about all of us. So, with dial-up it is taking me quite a while. I will try little by little to make it look decent. Forgive me if it changes looks multiple times! I will hopefully have it looking a little better by tomorrow. But.....who knows!?!? Love you!

Having Fun!
Hi everyone,
Sorry I missed a few days. Yesterday we spent the day building relationships with two families. We had a picnic with them and played. Of course their idea of picnic and ours is always quite different, but it is fun! Annie had fun playing with Alexis (boy) and the boys had fun playing marbles and American football. I have been teaching my 2 friends some different exercises because they have be trying to lose weight with me. Of course I am no skinny minny, but I do know what exercises can help them. So, we exercised and the men hung out and talked. All in all it was a great day and we are hoping this will help these two men feel more comfortable about coming on Monday night. Last Monday, both of their wives came but the husbands did not. Please pray for Icho and Pedro. Icho is in this picture with Greg, we thought it was funny that he was wearing a T.C. Roberson Basketball shirt. ( High School in Asheville) I guess we gave him that at some point but I don't remember. Anyway, Go T.C!
Annie continues to have some pain on her leg when you touch her. Her little thigh looks like red leather. Please keep praying for this. Whenever someone is hurt now, she automatically thinks they fell in a pot also. I am having a hard time explaining to her that not all accidents happen the same way. She is excited because she is getting some new pressure garments next week and can't wait for a new glove. We started with 3, lost 2 during our travels and now we have the one skin colored one that she wears everyday. Needless to say, it isn't very pretty. So I am sure the new glove will be an exciting present! Who would have ever thought we would get excited about these?
Other than that, we are doing well and are looking forward to next Monday when we can see if our Monday night gathering will go as well as it did this week. We have been told by a few people that more will come this Monday. We will see!
