Annie is out of the hospital!

Hi everyone,
We have just arrived at a hotel that a church here in Galveston arranged for us to stay in for now. Annie was discharged from the hospital and is now trying to rest comfortably here in her new environment. She is doing well but, still has a great deal of pain in her hand and when she goes potty. Please continue to pray for a quick recovery. She has to learn to walk again as her legs were badly burnt, and how to use her right hand as it was burnt bad too. She will receive that therapy at Shriners Hospital here for the next 2 weeks. She is exhausted and is going to have a hard day tomorrow, she will definitely need your prayers then! She will have her first bath at noon EST tomorrow and her first physical therapy session at 4:00pm EST. We have been warned that this will NOT be a very fun day for any of us. We are so thankful that we have 3 friends from our home church, arriving tonight to help us with the boys and Annie. I am continually amazed and brought to tears by the outpouring of love that has been shown to us by our company, many churches all over the world and our precious  friends in Mexico, and The Shriners Hospital here in Galveston and we will never be able to truly express our gratitude to all of the ones who have helped us! We love you all and will continue to update you as much as we can and will add more pictures soon too. Until then..... God Bless You All!!!

  1. I received news of Annie through two personal friends. She is being prayed for by members of my young adult SS class at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Huntsville, AL. So happy to hear that she is out of the hospital. We will remember you all tomorrow as you face the bath and therapy...Tell her she is loved and prayed for by people who have never met her, but who know Jesus and love her through Him.

  2. Dear Woods Family,
We received news yesterday and have been praying since. Our 'TEAM' is lifting you all up to our Faithful Father. Missy, it's ok to cry. I went 3 years before my daughter's doctors saw me cry...it's ok to let God dry your tears. Let Annie, Jarod and Alex know I am praying for them all. You have a very precious family. The Healer has heard our prayers and will continue to do a mighty work in and through Annie.

Our prayer is that He will continue to give you all the peace, strength and patience you need in the days ahead, and that He will lessen Annie's pain. We will especially pray for bath and therapy time tomorrow. Please tell Annie how thankful we are knowing that Jesus is with her and will continue to take such good care of her as He already has.

  9. When I heard your news Sunday at church I was shocked and saddened. But I knew that God would heal Annie. She has remained in my prayers continually. Such a brave girl she is. May God continue to heal this precious child. Her smile of courage in the photo will remain with me forever.

  12. It's amazing how a precious 4-year-old can touch so many lives around the world. God is so good and it appears that there are MANY people behind you. I will definatly pray for the bath and therapy tomorrow as I know that will be a hard day for you all. I can't imagine the pain Annie is going through, but she is stronger and braver than most adults would be in her situation. You're beautiful, Annie, and I know you'll be as good as new in no time.

    Love you...Springfield, MO

  25. Dear Annie,
My name is Blaze Hoskins and I'm 3 1/2 years old. My Mommy is typing this for me because I don't know how yet. My Mommy told me the story about how you got hurt and I can't stop thinking and talking about you. I painted you a picture with lots of water colors. I asked my Mommy if she could use my money to buy gas so we could bring it to you. She said the Doctors won't let us in because we are not your family. So if you could send us your address so we could sent you your painting that would be great. I pray for you to fell better every night before bed. Jesus makes us family in heaven right?
    Love your brother in Christ,
