Fun with grandparents!

Today has been a good day! Over the weekend we took Annie to Build A Bear and Annie enjoyed that! She bought a pink flamingo named, Shriner and today we went back so that "Mama Say" could buy Shriner some more clothes. This is actually really good therapy for Annie as she has to use her hands to dress Shriner. We have been so blessed each day as we watch as God heals her burns. The Dr. said that he thought it would take 3-4 more weeks before her waist would heal. However, I haven't told him that we have thousands upon thousands of prayers being lifted up for her. So, on Tuesday when we go back, I fully expect him to say, "WOW, she has healed faster than anyone I have ever seen!" So, when you pray, you can pray for that! :o)

This picture is of Mama Say and Annie playing with a bubble machine. The next one is of Annie looking at a prayer chain that some precious kids from a Church in Birmingham, Alabama. She wanted to thank each child for this, it meant a lot to her!

If you click on the bottom of this page where the number of hits are, it will take you to a page that shows many statistics about who, where, and when people have logged onto this site. This may just be numbers to you, however to all of us it shows how very big the family of God is! People all over the world (click on the world map link to see) are visiting this site and it has blessed us more than any of you could ever know. My (Missy) parents and Greg's parents have asked us to express their gratitude to each of you for lifting up their granddaughter. They have all read each comment left and we have all shed many tears from the outpouring of love you have shown us. I don't know if you have ever seen the movie, Pay It Forward, but if you have you will understand this comment, and if you haven't, rent it! I will spend the rest of my life doing whatever I can to repay other people with the love all of you have already given us. I will do small favors and large ones, for people just to show them a portion of the love you have shown us. We are not out of the woods yet, however, with all of you behind us, it won't be long! Love to you all!

  1. Hey guys! I know firsthand how great grandparents can be at helping out with lifting spirits so I pray this week will be fabulous for all of you with extra family members there. Tell Annie we're all thinking of her and hope this ends up being such a tiny backstep in the huge life she will lead.

  2. Hola Los Wood
Just wanted to say you have already "Paid it forward". First by leaving a legacy in Annie ( and the boys)of who Christ is and what He did for us. Second Annie has "Paid it Forward" by showing us how God is soooo good and how she has prayed for the other children in the hospital. Alan I feel blessed to know you because you've shown us strength and courage through Jesus Christ.
    Love You Guys!

  3. WOW! Reeses know how that praying-healing thing works. It is such a blessing to pray for Annie and all of the rest of the family. This news made me "smile hard" (that's what Alli used to say).

    We love you all!

  7. We are really missing you down here! Your house looks ok and when we drive up to check on the house people run towards us wanting to know the latest. Things are going great down here. Just feels a little empty without you here. We love you and we're praying for you. Let us know if we can do anything on this end.

  8. Just wanted you to know that many in Knoxville have been praying for your family. I met Don at a training and my daughter is on the field, so I deeply feel what you guys have gone through. Tell Annie that she is a very brave little girl and that God will use all of this to make her even more special.

    WE ARE MISSING YOU TERRIBLY!!!!!!
Never forget the words of our VERY wise friend who told us "when you feel good, you'll feel good!!!" So keep feeling good b/c you'll forever feel good!!!!! And if you don't feel good for a moment; remember the words of another VERY wise friend who said Find some fish and your freaking out will subside!!!! (TEE HEE!!!_)
Praying hourly for you as we can't get you out of our minds. Keep focusing on Him and praising Him for it all. You guys have ministered in more ways than you will ever know and we were glad to get to see you all in action in a tough time of life. You represent Christ better than them all!!!! God has been given the glory for the great things He has done, is doing, and will continue to do through you. WE LOVE YOU IMMENSELY!!!

  11. We are so excited for your time with grandparents - they are wonderful! Just to share, we are fully expecting the doctor to be amazed at how fast Annie is healing. When our Nathan was burned, your wishful quote is just what his doctor said(except in Spanish) "He has healed faster than I have ever seen in any of my patients!" We were able to share about the 1000s of prayers being lifted for Nathan and were able to witness to many in the hospital. We are praying that you will experience the very same thing!!!

  12. I just wanted you to know that you are being lifted up in prayer daily by our Small Group and my daughter's class at FPO. Your sweet daughter has captured our hearts and our prayer for you is that God would be glorified in everything that happens.

  14. Dear Annie,
I am so glad that you are having fun with your grandparents. The bubble machine sure looks like a lot of fun. Blow out some bubbles for me. I want to catch them.
I am praying for your body to heal quickly. I want the doctor to have a big surprise.
    Sending hugs,
