Not much news!

I know I keep saying the same things and I really don't want to bore you with the same prayer requests! Annie is doing so well that I am about to say it is time to turn your prayers to others who need it more. I say that, and then I look at her open wounds and think she really does still need your prayers. She still is not completely healed and still has some pain. Baths are still a big challenge and it is constantly on her mind. This morning she woke up and the first words out of her mouth were, "Do you have to change my bandages?" Then at about 5:00 pm she asks about bath time. So, we are not out of the woods yet! She is really enjoying playing with friends and "going to school." That is what she calls it when she goes to her class here.

Being here in Guatemala really has been the medicine we all needed. Jerod and Alex have been enjoying swimming and playing hide and go seek until it is bedtime. They have had a blast and the week is just starting. Greg and I had some time together today and that was needed as well. We went to a plaza here and bought some souvenirs. I have put these pictures on here so that you can see we are all doing great. The boys haven't been still enough for a picture but I will try to take one of them soon. I am thinking about continuing with this blog about our time in the village as well. We will see. Thanks for lifting us all up! We continue to feel your prayers!

  1. Great news to hear this morning. I LOVE Annie's smile. Each day seems a little easier for you, and I know you are thankful for that. Glad you had some "Greg and Missy" time too.

With so many still praying, we can only expect the best.

Have a great day with your friends.

    Love to all,
    Aunt Charlotte

    Missy and Greg,
What AWESOME news about Annie's hand! Those pictures are amazing. The kids and I pray every night for Annie at bedtime, and obviously God is hearing ours and everyone else's prayers!! He is such an incredible God. Just think how many people are being witnessed to through this tragedy! He truly does bring good out of all things. I am also praying for you two, since I can only imagine how horrible this has been for you as well. Is there an address where you are that we can send something to?
    LOTS of love, Amy :)

  3. Missy,

I'm going to give you my opinion on the blogs...I LOVE THEM!! I average 90 to 100 kids that come through my class here each year when you count the FPO and Stateside conferences. I really do get attached to ALL of them to some degree and I want to do my best to pray for their families even after class time with me is over. Newsletters are good, but the ones I can pray for the best are the ones who have blogs. I've been so blest by this blog to not only keep up with Annie's progress, but to see how widespread the body of Christ is. I hope you WILL continue the blog about the life of your family and what God is doing in the village!
Well, wordier than I planned! BTW, when will y'all be coming through ILC for your stateside conference? I'll LOVE seeing you again!
    Love,
    Ms. Marlene
